Stanley Kochen       1995

These small drawings were done at Women’s College Hospital
in spring 1995 when Stanley was hospitalized for complications
from AIDS.  His head was nodded because he was asleep.
Otherwise he was his lively chatty self.   We were friends and it
was always a delight to visit him in his apartment on St George St.,
Toronto, with all the trinkets and do-dads and macaw in a cage.
He would drink strong coffee and smoke and talk.   He died shortly
after at Casey House. .
